Michelle Collette

Michelle is a Senior HR Leader and Generalist with knowledge and expertise in all Human Resources functional areas, development, design and implementation of HR policies and procedures, designing staff recruitment processes and programs; training and development,    Michelle has provided Human Resources advice and guidance with various Human Resource public sector organizations across Central Ontario, collaborating with all levels from senior leaders to front line employees while ensuring legal compliance and implementing the organizations missions of health safety and wellness strategies, resulting in obtaining over 25 years’ experience in the HR sector.

Michelle has completed several workplace environmental scans including research, analysis, development, and implementation of “Workplace Hazard Assessments” plans within unionized environments. Michelle is well versed with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies and programs, as well Accessibility legislation and has maintained knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies associated with health, safety and wellness programs and initiatives.

Michelle is committed to building organizations that result in a positive employee experience having extensive experience acting in the public interest in an environment which is driven by a quality of service.

Michelle is a Professor at Humber College. Her teaching has encompassed Recruitment and Selection, Career Development Management and Public Administration.

Michelle earned MA in Human Resource Management from York University, Certificate in Labour Law from Osgoode Law School and Bachelor of Business Management, Major in Human Resources Management from Toronto Metropolitan University.
