Phil Dawson

Phil combines over 30 years of municipal management experience with his ability to analyze organizational and policy issues. He approaches every client project with the tact and diplomacy necessary to build relationships, formulate strategies and execute plans.

He served as both Fire Chief and General Manager of Emergency and Community Services for an Ontario municipality. In these capacities, he oversaw the design of multi-municipality Fire Services Master Plans and Fire Station development projects, including capital planning, RFP development and operational readiness.

As a Municipal Senior Management Team member, Phil led numerous stakeholder consultations to resolve complex development issues and create service delivery improvements.

A popular mentor, Phil is credited for bringing out the best in the employees he has coached. He currently serves as Program Advisor for Humber College’s Fire Services Executive Management program.
